Elaine Agather is Chairman of Chase’s Dallas region and serves as the South Region Head for J.P. Morgan Private Bank. In managing J.P. Morgan’s private banking business across the South Region, she and her team help clients grow and sustain wealth over multiple generations. They draw on the global resources of JPMorgan Chase to develop wealth management plans tailored to each client’s individual needs.
Ms. Agather joined Chemical Bank of New York in 1979, working in London, San Francisco and New York until she relocated to Dallas in 1984. After the 1986 merger of Chemical and Texas Commerce Bank, Ms. Agather was promoted to Chairman of Texas Commerce Bank in Fort Worth in 1992 and joined the Private Bank to manage client advisory groups across the state in 1997. In 1999, she was elected Chairman and CEO of Dallas.
Ms. Agather serves as board member for the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, Performing Arts Fort Worth, Fossil, the J. F Maddox Foundation, and the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show. She serves as a member of the board of trustees for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. She is also a member of the Dallas Citizens Council.
A native of Sherman, Texas, Ms. Agather graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics, and received her M.B.A. from The University of Texas.
