Cole Brown is Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer of Conifer Health Solutions, a leading healthcare services and solutions provider with over 13,000 team members. As a member of the executive leadership team, Ms. Brown oversees all aspects of Human Resources for Conifer Health including workforce planning, talent acquisition and integration, health and wellness, team member engagement, talent management and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance. She is also Conifer Health’s chief cultural champion, driving bold transformation in ways of working to ensure that Conifer is a leading employer with a healthy obsession on service to deliver strong business results.
Prior to joining Conifer Health, Ms. Brown served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Walmart U.S. Stores Operations (the company’s largest business segment representing over 4,200 retail locations and 1.3 million associates). During her 12 years at Walmart, Ms. Brown was highly regarded as a strategic visionary and transformative business partner, earning a reputation as an effective leader capable of delivering enterprise-wide business results. She held a number of significant leadership roles across the company including Chief Diversity Officer for Walmart, Inc., Vice President for Employment & Diversity Practices where she was part of the Global People Leadership team, and also led the training and development function for the Sam’s Club business unit of Walmart, Inc. Ms. Brown started her Walmart tenure in its Legal Department with responsibility for all EEOC matters and ultimately served as Associate General Counsel for EEO, Employment Practices & Diversity.
Prior to her association with Walmart, Ms. Brown served with Bashen Consulting, Wickliff & Hall, P.C. and Doermer, Saunders, Daniel & Anderson, L.L.P.
As a progressive thought leader, Ms. Brown is often sought after as a speaker and content contributor to various organizations and publications on topics ranging from team member engagement and recognition to diversity and inclusion to build a progressive and culturally dynamic workforce. Her passion for mentoring and coaching women for career advancement has been an inspiration to many in fully unleashing and reaching their potential.
Ms. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Juris Doctor degree, both from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She currently resides in Frisco, Texas with her family.
